自 2015 年成立以來，WASO 一直以日本美食為核心，
將日本的原味帶給旅居英國的朋友們。為了讓更多人能夠重新找回「家的味道」，我們誠摯地推出全新的「WASO香港店」。
對於離鄉生活的人來說，熟悉的味道往往是最溫暖的依靠。
WASO 希望能透過美食，為思念家鄉味的每一位朋友帶來溫暖與笑容。
這次，我們邀請了 WASO 香港店經理 Elaine，與大家分享她對「家的味道」的真摯感受與故事。

Elaine, who leads the WASO Hong Kong team, shares her story about what “the taste of home” truly means.


Thank you always for your continued support of WASO.
With the vision of creating an infrastructure that allows people to enjoy tastes from their homeland that were previously inaccessible, anywhere in the world, WASO has been introducing Japanese food as its main offering, sharing the authentic flavours of Japan with people living in the UK since 2015. To share the taste of home with even more people, we’re delighted to announce the opening of our Hong Kong Store.
For those living far from home, familiar flavours are often a precious source of comfort and connection.
At WASO, we hope to deliver both smiles and peace of mind through food to everyone who misses those nostalgic tastes.
And this time, we’ve invited Elaine, the Hong Kong store manager, to share her heartfelt story about what the taste of home truly means to her.

家的味道 — 來自 Elaine 的真心話


Hi，我是 WASO 的 Elaine。我在香港土生土長，2022 年毅然搬到英國展開新生活。離開了這個名副其實的「美食天堂」，我才深深體會到—原來味道，是連繫家鄉最直接的方式。
剛到英國的日子，最大的挑戰並不是氣候或語言，而是那份「熟悉的味道」突然消失。食物不只是飽腹，它承載了我們對家鄉的情感。
就在這個時候，我透過朋友認識了 WASO。他們的理念「無論你身在何處，都能嚐到家的味道」，深深打動了我。因為我知道，那不只是一句口號，而是真正理解海外港人心底最渴望的東西 —「家的味道」。
作為一個同樣漂泊在外的香港人，我很希望這個平台能成為我們的橋樑，幫助大家解決移英後找不到地道香港味的困難。雖然一開始商品種類有限，但會逐步擴展增加更多選擇。
希望大家從每一口食物裡，重新連結起我們的故事、我們的文化，還有我們共同的「香港味道」。

Flavours of Home — A Message from Elaine


Hi, I’m Elaine from WASO. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and in 2022 I made the move to the UK to begin a new chapter of my life. Leaving behind this true “food paradise,” I soon realised something profound — flavours are one of the most powerful ways to stay connected with home.
In those early days abroad, the hardest part wasn’t the weather or the language, but the sudden absence of those familiar tastes. Food is never just about filling our stomachs, it holds our emotions, our culture, and our fondest memories of home.
During this time, I came across WASO through a friend. Their vision “Giving you a taste of home, wherever you are” resonated deeply with me. Because I knew it wasn’t just a slogan, but a heartfelt understanding of what Hongkongers overseas long for most: the taste of home.
As someone also living far away from Hong Kong, I sincerely hope this platform can become a bridge for all of us, helping to solve the struggle of not finding authentic Hong Kong flavours after moving abroad. While the range of products may be limited at first, it will gradually grow and expand with more choices.
I hope that with every bite, we can reconnect with our stories, our culture, and our shared “taste of Hong Kong”.
