Katamete Pon is a powdered edible oil treatment agent made from natural oils and fats. When disposing of tempura oil, mix one packet (20 g) per 600 mL of oil and allow to cool, then it will solidify into a jelly-like substance and can be disposed of as burnable waste. It is convenient because it can solidify oil evenly and firmly, together with the oil scum.
